Clay County Library

Library Policy: The Clay County Public Library is open to everyone. Clay County residents can receive a library card free of charge, although there is a $.50 charge for a replacement card. We have many new books available, as well as many classic tales. There are resources available to find information on almost any subject. Audio tapes and books can be borrowed for up two weeks and renewable by a phone call. There are also many videos available for a 3-day loan. The videos include travel tapes, old movies, Disney movies and cartoons for the children. All videos have a three day loan policy Our genealogy department is rapidly expanding to help those who wish to research their family trees.

We also have a computer available for the public to use. All patrons wishing to use the computer must have a valid library card and check in to the circulation desk before accessing the machine. The computer does have an Internet connection and is a source of good information. All patrons wishing to access and save information must have a 3.1/2 disk, or pay 10 cents for each printed page generated on the computer printer

Library Fees: There is a $.05 a day fee for all overdue material on loan for 2 weeks. Videos have a $.50 a day late fee. We have a copy machine available for the public, at a charge of $.10 per copy. There is also a $.10 charge for each black and white sheet printed on our patron access computer, and $.25 for all color sheets printed off. We also charge $1.00 to help cover the cost of postage for all materials borrowed through interlibrary loan program.
